AKIPRESS.COM - The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Kubanychbek Omuraliev, held a meeting with the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Mariano Grossi.

During the negotiations, the parties exchanged views on the peaceful use of nuclear energy, nuclear safety, technical cooperation, and capacity building.

They emphasized the importance of responsible international interaction based on scientific principles.

OTS Secretary General Omuraliev noted dialogue with specialized international organizations plays a vital role in ensuring sustainable development.

The IAEA Director General said he highly values cooperation with Turkic states, where nuclear science and technologies are already improving human lives and where many countries explore the possibilities of use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes and progress.
