Kyrgyzstan's U-20 national ice hockey team becomes world champion in Division III

AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan's U-20 ice hockey team won the World Championship in Division III (Group B).

The tournament featuring six teams was held in Bishkek on January 18 to 24. Kyrgyzstan won all five matches defeating Hong Kong, South Africa, Iran, Luxembourg, and Mexico.

The team finished with a perfect 15 points, claimed the gold medals and earned promotion to Division III Group A for next season.
