
AKIPRESS.COM - Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Kubanychbek Omuraliev held a meeting with the Heads of the Diplomatic Missions of the OTS member states accredited in Geneva on February 11, the OTS press service reported.
The meeting was attended by Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to the UN Galib Israfilov, Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to the UN Erzhan Kazykhanov, Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UN Omar Sultanov, Permanent Representative of Türkiye to the UN Burak Akçapar and Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to the UN Eldiyor Toshmatov. The Deputy Secretary General of the OTS also participated in the meeting.
The Secretary General highlighted OTS efforts to strengthen cooperation between member states, noting that his Geneva visit and the Customs Heads Meeting advance sustainable development in transport and trade.
The participants exchanged views on enhancing coordination among the diplomatic missions in Geneva and explored practical avenues to increase the visibility and representation of the OTS. They also discussed opportunities to deepen engagement and foster mutually beneficial cooperation with Geneva-based international organizations and stakeholders.
The Permanent Representatives reaffirmed their strong commitment to further strengthening solidarity and coordinated action among the Turkic states in promoting the OTS agenda at the multilateral level and expressed their readiness to actively support the Organization's initiatives in Geneva.
