Third meeting of Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation takes place in Bishkek

AKIPRESS.COM - The third meeting of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation was held at the Ala-Archa state residence on February 27, the Ministry of Culture reported.

Participants discussed the current state of cultural cooperation among the organization's member states, future priorities, and joint projects.

President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Aktoty Raimkulova presented information on the Foundation's performance in 2025 and its action plan for 2026–2027.

She noted that last year, the Foundation implemented projects aimed at preserving, studying, and promoting the historical and cultural heritage of the Turkic world internationally.

Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev was the meeting's guest of honor. In his address, underlining the main goal of the Foundation as preserving the common heritage and further developing cultural ties, the Secretary General emphasized the importance of holding regular meetings of the Council.

He noted that such high-level engagement is essential for ensuring a coordinated approach to advancing the Foundation's agenda and strengthening cultural cooperation among the Turkic States.

In addition, the Secretary General expressed his appreciation to the Ministers of Culture for their valuable cooperation in organizing the "Turkic Week" events held in Vienna in January 2025.

The meeting was also attended by Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Ozodbek Nazarbekov, Deputy Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan Saadat Yusifova, Vice Minister of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan Aibek Sydykov, and Turkish Ambassador Mekin Mustafa Kemal Ökem, representing the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey.

The participants made proposals for developing cultural and humanitarian cooperation, increasing the number of joint projects, and promoting shared Turkic heritage globally.
