Foreign Ministers of OTS countries adopt a joint statement on Middle East developments

AKIPRESS.COM - At the conclusion of the Informal Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) held on 7 March 2026 in Istanbul, the Foreign Ministers of the OTS member states adopted a Joint Statement on the Recent Developments in the Middle East.

The Joint Statement reflects the common concern of the Member States over the ongoing armed conflicts and hostilities recently hiked up in their surrounding area, which cause human suffering, loss of life and large-scale humanitarian challenges, as well as their condemnation for all acts that endanger innocent lives and undermine stability in the region.

The Ministers shared commitment of the Member States to further strengthen political dialogue, deepen cooperation, and enhance coordination on issues of common interest, and reaffirmed their dedication to advancing the goals of Turkic cooperation, regional stability, and sustainable development, in line with the strategic vision and priorities of the Organization of Turkic States.
