
AKIPRESS.COM - Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Kubanychbek Omuraliev held a meeting with Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye Numan Kurtulmuş in Ankara on March 10.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current activities of the OTS and exchanged views on further strengthening cooperation among the Turkic states. Secretary General highlighted the growing role of the OTS in enhancing political dialogue, economic collaboration, and cultural ties among its member states and observers.
The discussions also focused on the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in advancing the common agenda of the Turkic world. The sides emphasized the role of national parliaments and relevant parliamentary platforms in supporting the initiatives and decisions adopted within the OTS framework.
The Speaker reaffirmed Turkish Parliament's continued support for the Organization and its efforts to deepen unity, solidarity, and cooperation among Turkic states.
The parties also expressed commitment to further strengthening institutional cooperation and promoting initiatives aimed at fostering closer ties among the member states.
