AKIPRESS.COM - Following a viral social media video that sparked significant public outcry, police in Issyk-Kul region have launched an investigation into a group of tourists at the Karakol ski base.

The footage captured individuals engaging in indecent behavior by relieving themselves on a scenic observation deck located 3,040 meters above sea level, a site intended for public recreation.

The Ak-Suu District Police Department officially registered the case on March 15 and is currently conducting a pre-investigation check for hooliganism and public order violations.

Authorities are working to identify the individuals involved and have promised to release further information once the investigation concludes.
