
AKIPRESS.COM - Authorities of Uzbekistan sent a cargo of food, medicine, and medical supplies to Iran, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
"The government of Uzbekistan sent humanitarian aid to the people of Iran. The cargo included food products, including flour, rice, sugar, pasta, sunflower oil, and canned goods, as well as medicines and medical supplies," the Ministry said in a statement on Telegram.
Uzbek authorities noted that this initiative was "an expression of the traditions of friendship, solidarity, and mutual support between the two countries". Previously, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan expressed concern about the situation escalation in the Middle East and called for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict.
