AKIPRESS.COM - Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has officially stated that the country’s new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, is in full health following recent military strikes by the United States and Israel.
In an interview with Al Jazeera, Araghchi clarified that while Khamenei sustained minor injuries during the attacks, the information confirming his recovery is reliable and his condition is stable. This announcement follows several statements from Iranian officials asserting that his health is not in danger despite the recent aggression.
Mojtaba Khamenei was elected as the Supreme Leader on March 8, but he has yet to make a personal public appearance or deliver a televised speech, with his only communication to the nation being a message read on his behalf by a broadcaster. This lack of public visibility led U.S. President Donald Trump to question whether the younger Khamenei was still alive. However, reports from The Telegraph suggest that Mojtaba Khamenei survived a missile strike on February 28 because he had stepped out for a walk shortly before the attack began.
