
AKIPRESS.COM - The Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences reported that an earthquake with a magnitude of approximately 4.0 was registered in Tajikistan near the Kyrgyz border on March 19 at 6:03 PM.
The epicenter was located 38 kilometers southwest of the village of Kara-Teit and 88 kilometers southeast of the city of Batken.
Despite the proximity to the border, the seismic tremors were not felt within the residential settlements of Kyrgyzstan.
