AKIPRESS.COM - The Osh regional police department has provided further information concerning a man whose body was discovered in a local canal.

According to official reports, a woman identified as M.A., born in 1965, contacted the Aravan District Police on April 18 to report that her husband, M.M., born in 1961, had been missing since leaving their home on April 16.

Following the registration of the missing person report, police launched a search operation and located the body of M.M. later that same day in a canal within Yusupov rural municipality of Aravan region.

Investigators have since interviewed witnesses and ordered a forensic medical examination to determine the cause of death. A final procedural decision will be made once all evidence has been gathered and the expert medical findings are finalized.
