Tajik somoni falls by 3.7% against U.S. dollar

Exchange rate of U.S. dollar increased by 3.71% in Tajikistan since the beginning of 2014.
Thus, the market price of dollar comprised 4.93 somoni in the beginning of January 2014; and it is 5.12 somoni today.
The National Bank of Tajikistan reported that the average USD rate on May 22 in Dushanbe exchange offices amounted to around 5.11-5.13 somoni; in Khujand – 5.12-5.13 somoni; in Qurghonteppa – 5.10-5.12 somoni.
The official USD rate is 4.91 somoni as of today.
Meanwhile, the average rate of Russian ruble and euro has slightly increased in the recent days. One ruble is 0.1465-0.1475 somoni; and one euro – 6.9570-6.9830 somoni.
