Members of the Tajikistan’s Lower House of the Parliament drafted amendments to the law on rallies, demonstrations and street processions that ban masks, Asia-Plus reported.
Thus, Deputy Head of the Committee on Defense, Security and Public Order Sattor Kholov believes that it is illogical to wear a mask at rallies or protests.
“The country’s Constitution gives citizens the right to participate in demonstrations and street processions, and citizens do not need to wear masks,” Kholov said.
The parliamentarians will reportedly discuss these amendments in the autumn.
